Hi,

I'm Chris Lodge the owner of this website. I created this website partly to see if I could, and mainly to share knowledge of these ancient sites. I'm pleased you've found this page, and would like to hear from you if you have any comments - feel free to contact me on the link below.
I was born in March 1973 and I am English, although now living in Scotland. I am married with twin boys,who can be seen intruding in some of the photos!

I worked for many years as an asbestos consultant, before our family had a collective fit, and relocated ourselves 500 miles further north to Aberdeen, where I now look after the boys full time (and this website), while my wife works to support our sloth...

Why Aberdeen? Many reasons, not least of which is over 100 Stone Circles in Aberdeenshire alone, mountains, coast, open spaces, good local food, friendly people and a long long way from London, where I've spent too much of my life in traffic.

Why Stone Circles? Hard to say, I'm not the worlds most spiritual person, I don't particularly go for ley lines & earth energies (not dismissing them, simply have never experienced any), but I find something incredibly evocative about standing stones. It could be an ancient racial memory I guess, but the placement in the land, the setting against the sky.... the builders knew what they were doing.
